Illustrating Flora and Foliage

Here are a selection of photographs capturing my latest project, illustrating flora and foliage. This was a great project to work on with the outcome as A3 art prints of heritage plants. Flora illustrated in this project range from blooming roses to petite bluebells. Inspiration for this came from the prolific Victorian biologist and botanical artist Marianne North, whose exceptional series of 832 botanical paintings is displayed in Kew Gardens, London. The colour highlights from my paintings include dusty lavenders, peachy tones and crisp woodland greens.
